Armstrong Massey Stages entry is a boyhood dream for Paul
Paul and Michael have had their entry confirmed for the 2009 Armstrong Massey Stages rally. Held on the 5th July the rally is organised by Beverley and District Motor Club and is the team’s local event.
“I remember when I was a kid we’d look out for the orange arrows once a year near our house that pointed to Brantingham Park and the start of the Armstrong Massey Stages Rally. I used to walk round the carpark with Dad, hoping that one day we’d get the chance to get behind the wheel of one of these rally machines.”
On 5th July this boyhood ambition of Paul’s will be realised when the team compete at Driffield on the 2009 rally. Although the format and venue of the rally has changed significantly from the days when a young Paul would wander around the service area, the event is still a big local rally and has all the right ingredients for Paul to be excited about getting back out on the stages.
“We’ve got the engine rebuilt (massive thanks to Ben for all his help!) and it’s now time to get it tested and set up ready for the rally. We’ve still got loads to do and not a lot of time, but we’re pleased to finally have our names down on the entry list for the Armstrong Massey stages rally!”
