Paul and Tom look forward to Harewood

With less than 24 hours to go before the two drivers arrive at the Yorkshire based track, preparations are continuing.

At the time of going to press, the Ford Ka rally car sits in the garage ready to be loaded on the trailer for the journey to the venue, while Tom is still in the workshop. The Peugeot 106 Quicksilver is being treated to a new cambelt among other jobs ready for the race tomorrow.

Weather can be a big player at Harewood, and tomorrow looks dry until mid afternoon when rain looks set to arrive and give everyone something else to think about.

“As I’m in the Modified Production Car class I can run the Pirelli slicks and intermediates that we have been running in rallies so far this year. To a certain extent that gives us some flexibility, and looking at the weather we’ll need it!”

Paul added: “Tom is running in the Road Modified class, and as a result he is limited to road tyres. Not the best option, but with everyone in the same situation I guess you could say it’s a level playing field!”

With the countdown to Tom’s motorsport debut behind the wheel nearing crunch time, the team are looking forward to the Summer Championship hillclimb at Harewood tomorrow.
