Paul Woodford presents Rally Day on Television

Paul Woodford will present all the action from Rally Day 2009 on Motors TV, Saturday 31^st October at 1.00pm

The annual Rally Day event, held at the Castle Combe racetrack in Wiltshire sees thousands of rally fans make the pilgrimage from all over the world to see their favourite WRC stars in action. Paul told us:

“It’s a chance for fans to get up close to rally legends past and present. To be given the opportunity to film the event for Motors TV has to be the highlight of my year so far!”

Guests at the show include Alister McRae, Matthew Wilson, Russell Brookes, Mark Higgins and Stig Blomqvist, all driving the cars for which they have become synonymous with rallying on the feature stage. The TV show will feature a selection of the best action and interviews from the day.

Rally Day 2009 represents a big commission in what has been a spectacular opening season for Wayne Goldring’s MC-Video production company. Aside from covering the British Cross Country Championship for Motors TV, the team have also been busy covering a variety of rallies around the UK. Wayne said:

“We’re very proud of the Rally Day TV show, hopefully the organisers will be too. It’s been an exciting year for us. I think we’ve proved what we can do and our reputation for producing engaging motor sport programmes for television has opened up new opportunities. We were even privileged enough to be invited to Mikko Hirvonen’s pre-Rally GB test at Greystoke!”

The DVD of Rally Day with extended special features and interviews will be available to order from the MC Video website (www.mc-video.co.uk) shortly, so don’t worry if you don’t have Sky or miss the show; you’ll still be able to catch up with Paul and the team.
