Two years after his accident at the West Yorkshire-based race track, Paul will return to Harewood Hillclimb on Sunday 30th August to contest the 1400 Modified Production Class of the Summer Championship meeting.
Sunday will be the first trip to Harewood for the team with the Ford Ka rally car. However, Paul and Dave know the venue well and are looking forward to the event already, Paul said:
“We had to get our motorsport fix following the disappointment of the Wolds Rally being cancelled. Harewood makes sense – we know the track and we need some time behind the wheel to get used to the car. It will also give us our first chance to set the car up for smooth tarmac.
With a big entry, we’re keen to see what we can do and I’m confident we can get a good result at the event.”
Sunday will also see Paul return to the British Hillclimb Championship and the British Automobile Racing Club (BARC) for the first time since selling the Fiesta XR2.
With 116 entries, the Summer Championship will offer a fantastic array of machinery and a great day out for all the family. For more details of the race meeting, and details of how to get to Harewood Hillclimb, see the venue’s website at www.harewoodhill.com.
