Woodford brothers return for Twyford Stages Rally
This weekend will see the return of the Teamwoodspeed 1600 Citroen Saxo VTS, driven by Paul Woodford and co-driven by younger brother Mike Woodford.
The pair are entered in the Turbo Centre Twyford Stages Rally, held at Twyford Wood, near Grantham on April 18th. The rally will be the first time back out for the car since the brothers' disappointing retirement at Manby for the Bill Cammock Memorial Stages earlier in the year.
As Paul explains: "Since the headgasket failure at Manby we have made some alterations to the car, including some CAT Cams for the engine and some adjustments to the suspension set up. We are yet to put the car through its paces in anger but early signs are good and the car is very quick!"
The rally sees the pair seeded at number 48, and with a large entry in class 2 - which is for 1400-1600cc engined cars - they will have their work cut out as they continue to learn the car at a new venue.
TV Presenter Paul, and brother Mike will be looking for a more positive start to their 2010 rally campaign, and we wish them the best of luck at Twyford on Sunday.
