Lincolnshire based motorsport preparation firm have offered to support the team, setting up the rally car in time for Blyton.
With such specialist equipment on the Ka, the team has sought specialist assistance in the form of well known WRC specialist, Rasp. Rasp Road and Stage Performance Ltd. in Grimsby, Lincolnshire is well versed in the set up and preparation of rally, race and track cars.
Based at their state of the art premises, and conveniently located near the M180 on the outskirts of the Lincolnshire town, the firm is perhaps best known through their association with Steve Simpson and his Hyundai Accent World Rally Car.
Paul said: “I’m over the moon to be associated with such a high profile company in the world of rally. After visiting Rasp I was amazed at the expertise and equipment available, and I’m pleased we have such an experienced preparation company in this part of the UK. Their kind offer to set up the car for us in time for Blyton is invaluable and hopefully they will benefit from some profile raising on their home event.”
Diversity is the name of the game however, and when Director John Cudmore is not coordinating a WRC effort or preparing a top level rally car for the special stages, he and the team are applying their know-how to conventional servicing and MOT work for road cars, as well as track cars. With a four-wheel-drive capable rolling road facility Rasp is also the perfect place to organise a club rolling road session. With ample parking and easy access, what are you waiting for?
Having worked with Motor Sport Developments on the Hyundai WRC programme and various Super 2000 projects, the team at Rasp has most recently been supporting the Tok Sport WRC effort in Turkey.
Teamwoodspeed would like to thank John for his offer of support, and they look forward to a developing relationship between Rasp and the rally team.
