Darren Hayes (aka Rutty)
Some say Darren has a car diagnostics port inbuilt, and that he has an unhealthy appetite for airboxes. All we know is, we wouldn’t want to be without him on a rally!
Before even joining us on a rally, Darren was busy helping out with the rebuild and getting the car ship shape. Working as a fully trained mechanic, Darren’s CV obviously helps, but it is his knowledge of motorsport applications, and enthusiasm for getting to the bottom of a problem that is most impressive. This is topped only by his ability to keep a cool head no matter what the job at hand presents.
Alongside working with the team on rallies, Darren (or Rutty as he also likes to be known) enjoys working on his own Fiesta Zetec-S track car project, and we’re looking forward to introducing you to that when it’s ready – watch this space!
